A 21-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after a double stabbing in Northolt yesterday evening. Emergency services were called to Yeading Lane in west London shortly before 7.25pm on August 24, where attending officers discovered two men with injuries.

Specialized trauma teams and paramedics from London's Air Ambulance were dispatched alongside land crews to provide immediate care. A medical helicopter was brought down on a grassy area on Radcliffe Way to get clinical teams to the scene as swiftly as possible.

Both men received urgent medical treatment at the roadside from the trauma teams before being transported directly to a major trauma centre for further emergency interventions.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed in an update this morning that the 21-year-old victim remains in a critical condition. The second man, aged 26, sustained injuries that the force has confirmed are neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

While the full details of what unfolded remain under investigation, police believe that a number of people were injured during an altercation in the area before emergency crews arrived.

Officers have arrested two individuals in connection with the incident: a 51-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy. Both were arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that both suspects remain in custody, where they are currently being questioned by detectives.
