Do

• Challenge ideas and claims, not other users.
• Correct information with evidence where possible.
• Tell us when you think we have missed something.
• Remember that allegations about real people have real consequences.

Do not post

• Threats, encouragement of violence or illegal content.
• Defamatory accusations or unverified claims of criminal behaviour about identifiable people.
• Hate or targeted abuse.
• Personal addresses, phone numbers, private contact information or other doxxing.
• Information that could identify protected victims, children or people covered by reporting restrictions.
• Spam, scams, impersonation or coordinated manipulation.
• Graphic or harmful material that is not necessary to the discussion.
• Copyrighted images or other material you do not have the right to upload.

Moderation

All comments are reviewed before publication. We may remove comments, restrict accounts or close commenting on individual stories — decisions are made to protect lawful discussion, readers and the integrity of the site. Every published comment has a Report option; urgent legal or safety concerns can also be sent via the contact page.
