Corrections
Accuracy matters. When we make a significant factual error, we correct it and explain the change. Every one we have issued is listed at the foot of this page.
Substantive corrections. If an error materially changes the meaning or accuracy of a story, the article carries a visible correction note explaining what was wrong and what has been changed. Where appropriate, the correction is also recorded on this page.
Updates. Developing stories often change as new information becomes available. If the original reporting was accurate at the time, adding new confirmed information is an update rather than a correction — material updates show an updated time on the article.
Minor changes. Spelling, grammar and formatting fixes that do not alter the meaning of a story may be corrected without a formal note.
Tell us about an error. Use the contact page with the article link, the information you believe is wrong and, where possible, supporting evidence. We review every report.
